Content Creation and Material Development
Our first milestone was making the Mosaic of Minds project accessible to everyone, and it started with launching our website. We developed a fully functional online platform where youth workers, young people, and other organizations can explore our tools, interviews, and learning materials.
We started sharing the voices at the heart of this project. Youngsters who opened up about their experiences with discrimination, identity, and finding their place. Youth workers also played a key role by contributing their own experiences from the field — the challenges they face, the lessons they’ve learned, and the ways they support young people every day. Together, their stories form a powerful picture of what youth work looks like in real life. These videos highlight real stories from marginalized youth, shared to build empathy, understanding, and connection.
You can find the full interviews on our YouTube channel and our website (Exploratory Research 2). Short snippets were also shared on social media to give a glimpse into their powerful insights and to help more people connect with their stories.
While the videos were being shared, we were working hard to bring everything together into one powerful tool: the Mosaic of Minds handbook.
The handbook brings together real challenges youth workers face and the youth themselves and offers practical ways to overcome them, with helpful tips, advice, discussion prompts, and success stories that show which approaches really make a difference.
With the content finalized and the design complete, we sent the pocketbook to print. This is a big step forward in turning stories and strategies into something people can hold, use, and learn from.
This handbook was created by youth workers, for youth workers that is filled with tools and methods to promote diversity and inclusion.
The Mosaic of Minds handbook was officially released! Though small in size, it’s packed with stories, advice, and activities that reflect real challenges. And the best part? Offers real solutions.
It includes workshop models, training materials, and youth voices, all designed to support more inclusive and understanding communities.
